Arabica coffee was introduced to Sagada in the late 19th century, much later than other kinds of coffee had arrived in lowland areas, and has always been a rarity (even in local markets) until recently when larger plantations were formed. This single origin coffee is grown in the vast mountains of the Cordillera Province in the Northern Philippines.
